“What would the Church be without the religious and consecrated women?” – Pope Francis

Feb 2, 2022 | Ecclesiastical News

The Holy Father invites the whole Church to pray especially for the mission of religious and consecrated women in the Church through the Pope’s Video.

The Pope’s Video for the month of February was published yesterday, February 1, 2022. Each month, the Pope entrusts the entire Catholic Church, through the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, with a prayer intention. This month, Francis asks us to pray for religious and consecrated women. The Pope exhorts them to “Continue to work and advocate for the poor, the marginalized, all those who are enslaved by traffickers.”

Sister Jolanta Kafka, RMICM, our Claretian Sister, who currently presides over the International Union of Superiors General (UISG), collaborated in the elaboration of the video and commented:

“We feel, as religious, very encouraged and called by Pope Francis both in our community life and in the challenges we have today in the mission.”

We join in this prayer intention and thank God for all our sisters with whom we share life and mission.
