WITH ROOTED AND AUDACIOUS HEARTS

Jun 29, 2021 | Community Life, México

Mexico City, Mexico. The second virtual meeting of Local Superiors of the Claretian communities of the Province of Mexico was held on June 21-23.

The animators of the ten Claretian communities distributed in the national territory were present in this meeting: Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua; Torreón, Coahuila; Guadalajara, Jalisco; Morelia, Michoacán; León, Guanajuato; Toluca, State of Mexico; three communities of Mexico City and the formative house La Fragua, belonging to the community of San Antonio María Claret.

The provincial team organized and coordinated the event, led by Fr. Enrique Mascorro, Provincial Superior. During the three days of the meeting, the aim was to review the life and work of the communities in the context of the now immediate General Chapter and in view of the pandemic situation in which we are still immersed.

On the first day we had the participation of an expert and financial advisor, Mr. Gregorio Rodriguez. With his help, we made an analysis of the reality from the perspective of the economy and of the changes that this situation is generating in the world and what missionary responses it asks of us.

In a second moment, each superior shared the journey of the life and mission of his community (prayer life, fraternal life, economic and pastoral situation, etc.).

In the third and last moment, with a retrospective and projective dynamic, each area of government presented the actions already accomplished and those to be carried out in the remainder of this six-year provincial term, always keeping as a frame of reference the context of the pandemic and the upcoming General Chapter that invites us to live with a “rooted and audacious” heart. Finally, various matters on the progress of the province were also discussed.
