XV Provincial Chapter of the Philippines

Quezon City, Philippines. The Claretian Missionaries of the Philippine Province are currently having its XV Provincial Chapter at the Claret Retreat House in Quezon City. Fr. Henry Omonisaye, CMF, General Consultor presides the Chapter. The Chapter started today, 14 January 2019 and is expected to end on the 18th.

The first day of the Chapter started with a Bible Enthronement, a suitable way of reminding the Chapter members of their Claretian charism as Listeners and Servants of the Word. It was followed by a recollection facilitated by the Chapter President. It focused on the need, the process and the criteria of Discernment especially in a Chapter setting. He drew the criteria for discernment from the biblical, the magisterium and the Claretian sources. He invited the members of the chapters to discern properly for the future of the province. The morning recollection ended with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel.

The afternoon session opened with the inaugural session of the Chapter. The message of the Superior General, Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, CMF to the Chapter was read by the Provincial Secretary, Fr. Efren Limpo, CMF. Normal procedures in a Chapter followed.reports on the Provincial Government followed immediately. The first day ended with the Eucharistic Celebration presided by Fr. Henry and the Provincial Council.
