Mexico City. The Youth of the Province of México, particularly that of San Hipolito and San Casiano, participated both in organizing and as participants during the 1st National Youth Day (NYD) of Mexico held in Mexico City from August 11 to 12, 2018. There were approximately eight thousand participants coming from all the dioceses all over Mexico. Yolanda Castellanos Martínez and Margarita Olivia Antonio Santos of San Hipolito community and five other youth of the 3rd Deanery participated in the said event.

In the host parishes, there were moments of praise and worship, catechesis, group dynamics, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and confessions. And despite the pouring of rain, the youth joyfully proceeded with their pilgrimage to the Basilica of Guadalupe from the Revolution Monument. At the shrine, a vigil was held with performances, catechesis, missionary rosary, youth way of the cross, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, praises, and the participation of Jésed group. The closing Mass presided by Most Rev. Rodrigo Aguilar Martinez, bishop of San Cristobal de las Casas and president of the Commission on Family-Life-Adolescents-Youth-Lay, took place at 5 in the morning.
