Jun 23, 2011 | Brasil, Claretian Family, Youth & Vocations Ministry

Pouso Alegre, Brazil. On Saturday the 11th of June in the parish hall of the Corazón de María Parish of Pouso Alegre, the First Vocational Vigil of Youth was celebrated with the great participation of the youth of this and other parishes of the city. It was a preparation for the celebration of Pentecost on the following Sunday.

The promoters of the event were the members of the Vocational Animation Service of the Parish headed by Fr. Fernando Henrique Alves, CMF.
The vigil was organized in ten sections conducted by a group of four youth. Songs were sung throughout the entire Assembly. Various symbols were used which involved the five senses which each person can utilize during prayer. It was a community moment of great peace and joy experienced in a way very different from other vigils and prayers to which they are accustomed.

Into the night they enjoyed refreshments which contributed to the fraternal experience and an opportunity to share what they had experienced up until that moment. The event was broadcast by TELE Libertas of the city and had the support of the Pastor, Fr. Marcio who helped and showed great openness to the celebration.
