On May 30th, 2026, Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, CMF, Superior General of the Claretian Missionaries, officially announced the celebration of the XXVII General Chapter, to be held from 15 August to 10 September 2027 in Rome. Centered on the theme “One Mission, One in Mission: Prophetic and Mystical Missionaries on the Synodal Path,” the Chapter invites the entire Congregation to renew its commitment to communion, discernment, and missionary service in today’s world. Inspired by the synodal journey of the Church and guided by the Holy Spirit, the preparation process will encourage appreciative, narrative, synodal, and discerning conversations within communities and across the Claretian Family. The announcement calls all Claretians to deepen their communion with God and one another, strengthen fraternity in diversity, and respond prophetically to the challenges facing humanity today. Rooted in the charism of Saint Anthony Mary Claret and entrusted to the Heart of Mary, the Congregation is invited to journey together with hope, creativity, and renewed missionary zeal toward a new Pentecost for the Church and the world.
