Feb 16, 2023 | ACLA

From February 12 to 16, 2023, the Superiors and Mission coordinators of the Claretian congregation of Africa (ACLA) gathered in Bwari, FCT, Abuja, Nigeria. The meeting was attended by the Claretian Superiors, as well as the staff of the Institute of Consecrated Life for Africa (InCLA), Abuja, and was focused on discussing the joint project.

The focus of the meeting was the discussion of the Statutes of the Institute, which were studied in-depth by the superiors, with a view to submitting them for approval to the General Government.

The visit to InCLA allowed the superiors to show their collective ownership of the project and learn the art of weaving something beautiful and vital for the Church in Africa. In his message to the Assembly of ACLA, the Superior General described InCLA as a dream coming true and expressed gratitude to the staff of InCLA for their warm welcome and hospitality.

During the meeting, the superiors also discussed greater collaboration in the Life and Mission of Claretians in Africa. They prayed that God’s dream in Africa might help each member to be rooted in Christ and audacious in mission.

The conference appointed a new secretary, Fr. Moise Moumassou, cmf, from the Independent Delegation of Cameroon. The appointment was welcomed by all attendees, who expressed confidence in the new secretary’s ability to contribute positively to the organization’s growth.
