Ibadan, Nigeria. On September 8, 2025, the Claret House of Theology, Elerumoke, Ibadan, hosted the First and Final Profession of Claretian students from the Independent Delegations of West Nigeria, Cameroon, and Congo.
The Eucharist was presided over by the Major Superior of West Nigeria, Very Rev. Fr. Augustine Mab-Segun Medaiyedu-Ambrose, CMF. In his homily, Rev. Fr. Gabriel Wada, CMF, Spiritual Director of the Theologate Community, invited the professandi to live their vows faithfully, strengthened by God and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Fifteen students made their First Profession: eleven from West Nigeria, two from Cameroon, and two from Congo. The Perpetual Profession was made by Changa Styve Blondel, CMF, of the Delegation of Cameroon. The vows were received by Fr. Augustine in the presence of Rev. Fr. Roland Onuekusi, CMF, Prefect of Formation, and Rev. Fr. John Paul Achi, CMF, Delegation Econome.
About 20 priests concelebrated, including Rev. Fr. Conrad Atangana, CMF, Prefect of Apostolate of Cameroon, representing his Major Superior and ACLA. The joyful celebration concluded with a fraternal reception, highlighting the growing vitality and communion of the Claretian family in Africa.
