Encounter of Friends of the Claretian Missions

Jan 19, 2009 | Polska, The Claretian Mission

Poland. From December 12 – 14, an encounter of Friends of the Claretian Missions has taken place in Krzydlina Mala, near Wroclaw. It has been promoted by Fr. Piotr Boron, responsible of the mission area of the Polish Province. During these days, the 66 participants from different corners of Poland were informed about the missionary activities of the Province.

The programme of these days was developed with multimedia presentations, liturgy and missionary work. Almost instantly a climate of joy and trust was created. Fr. Boron presented his experiences of the two years of apostolic activity in Africa, in Ivory Coast. December 13 was dedicated to the Claretian Martyrs of Barbastro; they were remembered and their martyrdom was made known.
The last day, the seminarians presented their own life and answered the questions that were asked to them.

The last afternoon the participants shared a meal and sang Christmas carols, thus advancing the Nativity that was already very near.

The presence of the pastor with a group of children of Zareba added joy to the occasion.
With these impressions, all of them left the encounter on the 14th to return home.
