First and Final Professions in East Nigeria Province

Attakwu, Nigeria. On September 8, 2020, seven students of East Nigeria Province made their Perpetual Vows, and two novices made their First Religious Profession at the Claret House of Theology Chapel in Attakwu, Enugu State.

The students who made their Perpetual Profession are Adisionu Patrick, Anaejionu Sixtus, Anyanwu Charles, Eluro Promise, Nwachukwu Jude, Nwogwugwu Magnus, and Ogbuokiri Martin, CMFF. And the two novices who made their first vows are Ogbede Emmanuel and Onwe Peter, CMFF. Their vows were received by the Provincial Superior, Fr. Simeon Nwobi, CMF.

In his homily, Fr. Simeon urged the candidates to follow Christ, poor, chaste, and obedient in announcing the Gospel in the style of Father Claret. He insisted that they commit themselves to follow in faith like the Virgin Mary. He also asked the prayers of all present for the professed so that they live out the vows they have made to the Lord.
