Sep 17, 2016 | Aquilino Bocos Merino, General Superiors

Madrid, España. On the 15th of September, it was launched in the auditorium of Instituto Teológico de Vida Religiosa, the latest book of Fr. Aquilino Bocos “LIDERAZGO Y PROXIMIDAD: El valor de la presencia en el gobierno de la vida consagrada” (LEADERSHIP AND VICINITY: The value of presence in the government of the consecrated life) that proposes some points and spiritual animation for religious who are given governmental tasks on religious communities.

With him on the table were Monseñor Ángel Garachana, bishop of San Pedro Sula, President of the Episcopal Conference of Honduras – and Ma Luz Galván of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as well as the director of Claretian Publications.

The launch offered an interesting conversation that revolved around a humanization of the rules and customs of religious communities applying three words with different meanings: presence, leadership and proximity. Three words in a novel manner relate to each other and come together creatively in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, model and cause of leadership through proximity.

The author showed the point of referral when he started to write the book: “The words of the Gospel I am among you as one who serves invites us to think of warmth, presence and use of time. I think we do our governance of our communities with these two prepositions: between (you) and a same as (the one who is serving) “
