Egume, Nigeria. Finally, the Claretian community administering the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Achuru, Egume, can benefit from the renewable energy brought by the newly installed solar energy panels. The project, mainly sponsored by the General Mission Procure and augmented by the help of other sponsors of West Nigeria Independent Delegation, started on the 15th of December 2021 and was completed on the 6th of January 2022.

Fr. Anthony Anyawike, CMF, Project Implementor, said in his report that finally, the Rectory functions with electricity, and adequate and prompt personal or collective work are possible in and outside the parish. Likewise, the beneficiaries can drink clean water, sacraments prepared and celebrated well, and there is active participation in the liturgy by the faithful since the sound systems are powered.

The Delegation of West Nigeria is very thankful for the help extended by the General Mission Procure and their sponsors. The General Mission Procure, headed by Fr. Lord Winner, CMF, likewise congratulates the project manager, the Mission Procurator, Fr. Anthony Anyawike, CMF, and the Organism for the new project and its better service to the faithful.
