Meditation of the Word of God and Spiritual Elevation

Mar 11, 2018 | ACLA, Bible Ministry, Cameroun

Yaounde, Cameroon. The Catholic University of Central Africa through the University Parish organized a day of Prayer and Meditation on the Bible on the 11th of March. Invited to the program were Msgr. Léopold Sosthène Bayemi, the Bishop of the Diocese of Obala and the Biblical Pastoral Ministry of the Claretians in Cameroon. The Rector, lecturers and students were present. The General theme of the conference was “Meditation of the word of God and spiritual elevation”.

The Bishop presented his conference on the importance of Lectio Divina in the life of the Christian. Since he was on pastoral visit, they projected his conference which was registered a day before by the Claretian Publications.

On the other hand, the Claretians’ conference was based on the theme “The Word of God has Changed My life”. It was on the wish of Pope Benedict in Verbum Domini, number 73, that we should animate all our pastoral ministry with the Bible. However, in order to animate well, they insisted that there is need to personalize the word in our lives.

It was an opportunity of sharing our experiences on the Bible Pastoral Ministry. They also had the opportunity of presenting their work in the Bible Ministry and in Publications.

Their future plans with the University is to animate Bible quizzes and festivals with the students and also collaborate with them in certifying those they form in the Biblical Apostolate.
