Nairobi, Kenya. The Claretian Missionaries of St. Charles Lwanga Independent Delegation held their V General Assembly from August 31 to September 6, 2026, at the Dimesse Sisters Centre in Karen, Nairobi. Under the theme, “Missionaries of Hope: building communities of faith and service,” the assembly focused on the future of the Delegation and its missionary priorities toward 2030.
The assembly was presided over by Superior General Very Rev. Fr. Mathew Vatamattam, CMF, assisted by Fr. Jude Langeh, CMF.
During the gathering, participants deliberated on the dreams, designs, and commitments that will guide the life and mission of the organism in the coming years. The assembly provided an opportunity to discern together how the Delegation can continue building communities rooted in faith, hope, and service.
A new government of St. Charles Lwanga Independent Delegation was also announced during the assembly. Fr. Amos Moses Onyait, CMF, was appointed Major Superior. He will serve alongside Fr. George Nandalath, CMF; Br. Robert Omondi, CMF; Fr. John Bosco Kiyuga, CMF; and Fr. Martin Amalanathan, CMF, as consultors.
