We live in Medellin del Ariari, El Castillo Municipality, Colombia. Our region suffered armed conflict for more than fifty years. After three decades, we can now appreciate the presence of young people in the streets. For many years, our parents sent our brothers to study abroad to prevent them from being involved in the war.
The Herencia y Semilla Youth Experience, is a space for community encounter and projection, sharing, fun, learning. Our work has been the protection of the environment, solidarity with the elderly, the neediest people, and of the memory of the victims of our place. It has motivated us to feel recognized by the community, feel the union and the family atmosphere that we have built in the group.
