Peru in Assembly

Jul 14, 2010 | Perú - Bolivia

Lima, Peru. The XII Assembly of the Independent Delegation of Peru started on July 13. 40 Claretians are participating, presided over by Fr. Agustín Monroy, General Consultor.

Present in the Assembly are also several Claretians from the Delegation of Bolivia and Fr. Lambert Okere, recently assigned to

this Delegation, concretely to our Arequipa community.

As in every Assembly, it started with the election of secretaries and moderators and then the reports on Government and Economy were read and revised. From this analysis will arise the challenges that will be addressed in the lines of action that the Assembly itself will propose.

We foresee that the Assembly will conclude on July 16, Feast of the foundation of the Congregation. On that same day the new Province will officially be inaugurated, result of the fusion of the present Independent Delegations of Peru and Bolivia. To this effect, a provisional government team has been appointed, as we informed a few days ago.
