Professions and Diaconate Ordinations in Bangalore

Bengaluru, India. On Friday, 31st of May 2019, Feast of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, three Novices made their First Profession, nine Students renewed their Vows, and three made their Perpetual Profession from the Province of Bangalore. The first profession was held in the morning at the Novitiate House, while the renewal and the perpetual profession were both held in the evening at the Claretian Seminary in Malleswaram. Rev. Fr. Jacob Arakkal John, the Provincial Superior of Bangalore presided the Solemn Eucharistic celebrations and received the vows. The celebrations were attended by a good number of Claretian confreres, the relatives of the students and neighbouring priests, religious and well-wishers. The day before the professions, 30 May 2019, twenty-three Novices from different Major Organisms of India began their Novitiate at Claret Bhavan in Carmelaram.

Lastly, on Saturday, June 1, 2019, three of the Students of the same Organism were ordained to the Order of Deacons by Most Rev. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore at the Claretian Seminary in Malleswaram.
