Bengaluru, India: The XI Provincial Chapter of the Province of Bangalore was convened from September 10 to 17, 2026 at Claret Nivas, Carmelaram, in Bengaluru. Presided over by Rev. Fr. Carlos Sánchez, CMF, General Prefect of Spirituality and Community Life, 45 members participated in the chapter, based on the theme, “Renewed in the Spirit: One Mission, One in Mission.”
All the sessions of the chapter were initiated in a prayerful and synodal style. Rev. Fr. Thomas Thennadiyil, CMF, served as Chapter Secretary, and Rev. Fr. Paulson Veliyannoor, CMF, as the Facilitator.
The spiritual foundation was laid during two intense Chapter Recollections focusing on the biblical themes of “Removing One’s Sandals” (reverence, vulnerability, and humility before holy ground) and “Being Clothed in Christ” (adopting synodal attitudes of communion, openness, and shared discernment). These sessions incorporated individual and group Conversations in the Spirit and the Sacrament of Reconciliation created an environment of personal conversion, communal healing, and deep listening.
During this phase the new Team of Leadership was elected to animate the Province for the next Six Years:
1. Provincial Superior: Fr. George Kannanthanam, CMF
2. Consultor and Prefect Economy: Fr. Manoj Kandathinkara, CMF
3. Consultor and Prefect of Apostolate: Fr. Santhosh Kariammakil, CMF
4. Consultor and Prefect of Formation and Vocation Ministry: Fr. Innaiah Udagandla, CMF
5. Consultor and Prefect of Youth Ministry: Fr. Vinsent Kiran, CMF.
The celebration of the chapter was indeed animated by the Spirit, where all felt the spiritual energy and Claretian brotherhood accompanying each participant united with the whole province.
