Professions and Renewals Mark a Grace-Filled Day at St. Claret Seminary

Umsning, India. On the evening of May 31, 2025, the Claretian Missionaries of the Northeast India Province gathered at St. Claret Seminary, Umsning, to celebrate a deeply moving moment of religious commitment through perpetual, first, and renewed professions.

Presided over by Fr. Joseph Mappilaparambil, CMF, Provincial Superior, the Eucharistic celebration began at 5:30 PM and was concelebrated by council members Frs. Joy, Jaison, and Walter Naveen, along with other priests, religious sisters, and faithful. The occasion highlighted the vibrancy and dedication of Claretian life in the region.

During the ceremony, Bro. T.D. Marcus Thangminlun made his Perpetual Profession, offering himself fully to the mission of Christ and the Claretian Congregation. He was joined by six novices—Christudas Karmy, Iaimonlang Rynshon, Jacob Paodeikap, Kondepogu Sagar, Rohit Indowar, and Sojan Saji—who professed their First Vows in a joyful and solemn rite.

Additionally, seven students—Eskarius Malngiang, Fulgense Lakra, Justin Langi, Paulus Saphai, Shanborlang Lyngdoh, Jhanmiki Phawa, and Joni Syngkli—renewed their religious vows, reaffirming their commitment to the Claretian missionary spirit.

The event was marked by deep spiritual fervour, communal joy, and heartfelt songs of thanksgiving, embodying the enduring call of St. Anthony Mary Claret in the hills and valleys of Northeast India.
