Rome, a Meeting Point for CESC–Forge at the Close of 2025

Dec 30, 2025 | Spirituality and Community Life, CESC, The Forge

Rome, Italy. From 26 to 30 December 2025, the annual CESC–Forge Meeting took place at the General Curia in Rome, a gathering that has become a well-established event in the life of these teams. Convened by Fr. Carlos E. Sánchez, General Prefect of Spirituality and Community Life, the meeting was attended by Frs. Rodolfo E. Morales, Rohan Peires, Juan Carlos Martos, and Josep Rovira (Vic), together with Fr. Bhyju V. (Rome) and Frs. Sebin Mundackal and Félix Ketoglo (Madrid), CMFF.

The meeting responded to the usual objective of these encounters: to share personal and community situations, foster fraternity, evaluate the work carried out by CESC (Centro de Espiritualidad Claretiana – Claretian Spirituality Center) and Forge (Claretian Renewal Program) during 2025, and provide orientation for the coming year from an attitude of communal discernment. On this occasion, the context of the Jubilee of Hope gave the gathering a particular significance for the animation of Claretian spirituality within the Congregation.

The days were structured around moments of formation, review, and planning, using methodologies aimed at a close and meaningful communication of the faith. All of this unfolded in an atmosphere of simplicity and fraternal care, fostered by the warm hospitality of the General Curia community.

In the final days, and on the eve of the closing of the Jubilee Year of Hope, the participants made a pilgrimage to the Vatican and celebrated the Sunday Eucharist of the Holy Family, a gesture experienced as a sign of communion and shared hope.

The meeting also included the celebration of the Eucharist with the community on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the first profession of Fr. Juan Carlos Martos. All of us were left with a shared sense of gratitude for these intense and fruitful days, lived with serenity and an ecclesial spirit, at the threshold of the close of 2025 and with our gaze set on the time ahead.
