The Extraordinary Assembly of the Independent Delegation of Antillas Begins

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In an atmosphere of joy and fraternity, today, April 23, the Extraordinary Assembly of the Independent Delegation of the Antilles begins at the Claret Retreat House in Santo Domingo. The Assembly is presided over by Fr. Manuel Tamargo, General Econome and Delegate of Father General. Participating are the 34 missionaries who live their life and mission in Haiti, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba.

For a week, the participants of the Assembly, under the motto: “A new Pentecost for Antillas,” will enter into a dynamic of reflection and discernment on the reality of their missionary posts, with the intention of guiding and promoting the missionary life of the Delegation, aligning her in the transformation process of missionary going-forth and available to continue molding herself as an Organism of Witnesses and Messengers of the Joy of the Gospel.
