India. The VIII Provincial Chapter of Bangalore province began with an Inaugural Mass at 6 pm on 24th of January, 2010. Rev. Fr. Josep Maria Abella presided over the Inaugural Mass. At 8.30 pm formal inauguration of the chapter took place by lighting the lamp by Rev. Fr. Josep Maria Abella.
In the beginning Fr.Xavier E. Manavath addressed the gathering and thanked the General Government for all their co-operation during the tenure of 4 year and also thanked all the members of the province for their co-operation and collaboration in carrying out the affairs of the province in these 4 years.
Fr. Josep Maria Abella gave some guidelines to the chapter members with regard to the provincial chapter and declared the chapter open.
