TICLA held its 5th Week on consecrated life in Nigeria.

Enugu, Nigeria. From 1st-4th of December 2010, TICLA (Theological Institute for Consecrated Life in Africa) held its 5th Week on Consecrated Life in “Claret House” in Enugu, Nigeria.

The principal topic was “Authority, Obedience and Freedom”, as a way of deepening our understanding of the Instruction of SCIVCSVA on “The role of authority and obedience in the Church”.

Amongst the presenters were Fr Henry Omonisaye CMF, who lectured on “Authority, Obedience and Freedom in the Sacred Scriptures”, Sister Janet Nwaokpo HHCJ, who lectured on the topic “Consecrated obedience and its implications for our lives” and Brother Boniface Chima Onwujuru FMS, who lectured on the topic “Consecrated Service, Mission and Obedience”.

Initiatives like this promote TICLA as a valid option for the formation and the renewal of consecrated life in this part of Africa.
