Guatemala City. The XV Provincial Chapter of the Claretian Missionaries of Central America was formally inaugurated on Monday, 14 July, 2025  at the Claret Retreat House in Guatemala City. Held in a spirit of faith, fraternity, and missionary communion, the gathering brings together Claretian delegates from across the region under the theme:

“We walk together in mission for our beloved Central America.”

The chapter is presided over by Fr. Pedro Belderrain, CMF, delegate of the General Government. During the ceremony, Fr. Belderrain officially transferred the delegation to the Provincial Secretary and delivered a message on behalf of the Superior General. In his remarks, he expressed appreciation for the dedicated service of the outgoing provincial government, acknowledged the hospitality of the host community, and emphasized the Province’s ongoing contributions to the Congregation—particularly in the areas of resource sharing and MICLA (Claretian Missionaries of Latin America and the Caribbean) initiatives. He further noted that the Chapter’s resolutions will take effect following approval by the General Government.

During the session, the Chapter delegates approved the internal regulations and work schedule. Fr. Manuel Sánchez, CMF, was elected as Chapter Secretary and joined the presidential table alongside Fr. Ismael Montero, CMF, and Fr. Pedro Belderrain, CMF.
