ASCLA East Solidarity and Mission Training

Quezon City, Philippines. On November 5-9, 2018 at Claret Retreat House in Quezon City, 26 representatives from the Mission Procure and Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) of various ASCLA East Organisms, namely the Philippine Province, Indonesia-Timor Leste Independent Delegation, and East Asia Independent Delegation together with some Lay Mission Partners of the Claretians, Missionary Sisters of Saint Anthony Mary Claret (MSAMC) and Religious of Mary Immaculate Claretian Missionary Sisters (RMI), participated in the Solidarity and Mission Training. This was organized by the Claretian General Solidarity and Mission Team led by Frs. Lord Winner, Vincent Anesthasiar, and Rohan Dominic, CMFF in coordination with Fr. Angelito S. Ancla, CMF, Prefect of Apostolate of the Philippine Province.

The main goal of this training was to strengthen the capacity of Claretian Organisms towards understanding the Solidarity and Mission concept, the promotion of justice, peace and sustainable development at local, regional and global levels. Fr. Lord Winner explained the nature, structure, policies and dynamics of the Mission Procure. He also instructed all Mission Procures of the Region to operate hand-in-hand with the General Mission Procure using its system. He recommended that they should establish an effective network and sharing of resources among them. Fr. Vincent talked about the various issues concerning the JPIC especially about the care for our common home. Fr. Rohan expounded on Human Rights and the 2015-2030 UN-Development Goals which can be integrated in the Organisms’ Apostolate Plan of Action.

By the end of the training, the participants formulated their Message for the ASCLA East Solidarity and Mission programs containing their commitments for the mission of their respective Organisms.
