Quezon City, Philippines. On May 1, 2025, the Claretian Missionaries of the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province organized the 2nd Conference on Mary at the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Hall of Claret School of Quezon City. Supported by the Prefecture of Communications through its publishing arm, Claretian Communications Foundation Inc. (CCFI), and in partnership with Claret School of Quezon City, the event gathered over 200 participants under the theme: “MAGNIFICAT: Mary’s Manifesto of Hope.”
The one-day conference offered a rich reflection on the Magnificat—the Virgin Mary’s song of praise that proclaims God’s mercy and justice. With a mix of in-person and online attendees, the event brought together clergy, religious educators, and lay faithful seeking deeper understanding and devotion to Mary’s spiritual witness.
The conference featured a series of talks by prominent speakers. Fr. Rogie Castellano, CP spoke on “Healing Hearts: Embracing the Motherhood of Mary,” focusing on Mary’s compassionate presence in times of pain. Fr. James Cervantes, MIC delivered insights on “The Fiat of Mary: The Fulfillment of God’s Promise,” highlighting her total surrender to God’s will. Fr. Sherwin Y. Nuñez, SMM reflected on “Mary’s Magnificat: A Hymn of Hope,” emphasizing Mary’s role as a bearer of hope in a troubled world.

A synthesis of all the talks was presented by Ms. Tinnah Dela Rosa, offering a cohesive overview that tied together the theological and pastoral messages. Each session was followed by open forums and breakout discussions, giving participants the chance to engage directly with the speakers and each other.
The conference culminated in a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Fr. Dennis G. Tamayo, CMF, Executive Director of CCFI. In his homily, he underscored the relevance of the Magnificat today, inviting the faithful to mirror Mary’s joy, humility, and hope in their own lives.
The 2nd Conference on Mary reflects the ongoing mission of the Claretian Missionaries to nurture Marian devotion and provide avenues for theological reflection. Inspired by its success, organizers expressed their intention to continue the conference annually, strengthening the faith of the community and offering hope amid modern challenges.
