Eldoret, Kenya. On March 30, 2023, Bishop Dominic Kimengich of the Diocese of Eldoret, handed over to the Claretian Missionaries of St. Charles Lwanga Independent Delegation the St. Jacinta Catholic Parish as its new mission.
St. Jacinta Catholic Parish of the Diocese of Eldoret is in Chebororwa, Eldoret in the western side of Kenya. Fr. Athanasius Madu, CMF, St. Charles Lwanga Delegation Vicar and Prefect of Apostolate was appointed as parish priest. A number of Christians and priests from Moiben, the mother Parish, attended the installation ceremony.
The mission will serve as an outreach station of the Claretians in the western Kenya. It will also serve to boost local vocations from that part of the country.
