A NEW PRIEST TO ST. JOSEPH VAZ INDEPENDENT DELEGATION – SRI LANKA

Colombo, Sri Lanka. Deacon Iresh Nimarshana Fernando, CMF, was ordained a priest by Rt. Rev. Dr. Harold Anthony Perera, Bishop of Kurunegala on the 15th of April, 2021 at Saints Peter and Paul church, Ragama (Colombo).

The newly ordained priest had initial religious and priestly formation in Sri Lanka (Minor Seminary and Theology), in India (Philosophy), and in the Philippines (Novitiate). He carried out his diaconal ministry in both the dioceses of Kurunegala (Mawathagama shrine) and Mannar (Madu shrine).

Fr. Iresh Nimarshana, CMF presided his first thanksgiving mass on Sunday 18 April at Christ the King Church, Lenchchiyawatta (Ragama).
