Assembly of Antilles. IV

Apr 20, 2010 | Antillas

Puerto Rico. On the fourth day of the Assembly, the liturgical celebration was animated by the brothers from the community of Haiti. It was centred on the scene of the encounter of Jesus with the Samaritan woman. The spring is Jesus; we, his missionaries, having quenched our thirst from the deep well or from the crystal-clear spring of his love, become also wells and springs of living water, to quench the thirst for God in our brothers.

The Assembly was enlightened by an exposition by Fr. Gonzalo Fernández, centred on the declaration of the XXIV General Chapter and a project that sprang from it: “The Forge in our daily life.” It is a means of working in depth on the missionary-Claretian vocation renewal.

From this enlightenment flowed the work of reflection and searching to elaborate the Action Plan for the Delegation in the next triennium. A “Working Paper” on the same objective, elaborated in line with the classical method: See, Judge and Act, was distributed and later on discussed by groups.

Finally the results of a survey conducted previously to the definitive one, to know the tendencies over the Team that will coordinate the Delegation during the next three years, was made known.
