Assembly of Claretians of the Southern Cone V

Jan 27, 2009 | San José del Sur

Argentina. The final day of this Assembly of the Southern Cone arrived. Like the previous ones the day dawned peaceful and sunny. We started it with the culminating concelebration of this gathering. The Fr. Superior General presided over it, with the assistance as concelebrants of the four Major Superiors involved in this process of reorganization:

Santiago, Betica, Chile and Argentina-Uruguay.

The gospel of the calling of the apostles set us on the way to open our ears to the final words that Fr. General addressed later to the whole Assembly. We then made an evaluation of the Assembly. We did not look merely to the external, but also to the personal and community repercussion of the experience.

We came out joyful and committed to continue walking the paths God sets for us in this time and at this place of the world. Only one thing is lacking: to thank everyone for whatever we contributed to make this a beautiful congregational moment which is already giving its fruits. And one more thing: also to carry the good news of this missionary fraternity to the communities and positions where we are developing our life.
