Bangalore, India. This August, the members of the Province of Bangalore are coming together for the Provincial Assembly that will be held in two sessions 2-3 and 24-25 August at Claret Nevas, Carmelaram. This month also coincides with the General Canonical Visitation to the Province of Rev. Fr. Henry Omonisaye, CMF, General Consultor, and Rev. Fr. Callistus Joseph, CMF, Provincial Superior of the Province of Deutschland. Both will simultaneously visit the different communities. The Assembly is the platform for all the members of the Province to come together to evaluate, discuss and discern the life and mission of the Province.
On Thursday, 02 August, the first session took off already with 67 participants, including the General Visitor, Rev. Fr. Callistus Joseph, the Provincial Government of Bangalore, and 17 Students. The day’s proceedings consisted of the opening remarks, the reading of the Message of Fr. General to the Assembly, presentation of the Province´s report and group discussions. At noon Fr. Callistus Joseph presided the Eucharist and gave an inspiring homily.
