Beginning of Novitiate in Padre Xifré Independent Delegation

Bata, Equatorial Guinea. On August 14, 2019, the beginning of the inter-Organism Novitiate took place in Bata, Equatorial Guinea.As of this date, the Father Xifré Formation House, which had previously been for philosophers and theologians, becomes a novitiate for Spanish speaking members the of ACLA Conference. The first group is composed of 5 novices of two nationalities: Democratic Republic of the Congo and Equatorial Guinea, members of the Congo and Padre Xifré Independent Delegations.

The celebration was presided by Fr. Salustiano-Oyono Nguema Mangué CMF, Consultor and Prefect of the Apostolate, delegated by Padre Xifré’s Major Superior, Fr. José Engonga Mayo CMF.

Fr. José Milam CMF was designated as the Novice Master and Frs. Marcelo (Local Superior) and Félix Obaha, CMFF (Local Econome and Prefect of Students) will join him in the team.

Fr. Robert Avulamembo, CMF, represented Gabon, and is the one who prepared the Novices with the Spiritual Exercises. Father Robert has been a Novice Master in the Cameroun Delegation for 12 years, and is the current Prefect of Spirituality of Padre Xifré Independent Delegation. His presence has been timely for the beginning of this new experience in this Organization.

The Congregation asks God for our young Novices José Antonio Mba, Fabrice Mawete, Ghislain Tutonda, Olivier Okito and Georges Mondo, that the Lord may bless them during this experience of discernment, and may the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, of our Father Founder, St. Anthony Mary Claret, and of the Martyrs of the Claretian Family accompany them at all times.
