Claretians Advocate for Justice and Inclusion at the United Nations

Apr 2, 2025 | UN Presence

New York, USA. The Claretian Missionaries, through Fondazione PROCLADE Internazionale-onlus, participated in the 63rd session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD63) in February and the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) in March 2025.

These UN forums addressed social inclusion and gender equality, with CSW69 marking the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration. The Claretian UN team, led by Rohan Dominic and Henry Ramírez, contributed through official statements and advocacy efforts. PROCLADE submitted two statements and co-signed two with the Justice Coalition of Religious (JCoR), emphasizing social protection, economic equality, and gender-inclusive policies.

Key advocacy points included increased funding for social programs, improved healthcare, gender equality in economic participation, and urgent environmental action. The Claretians’ engagement reinforced their mission to promote justice and inclusion globally.
