Encounter of Fith Year Claretians in Central America

Roatán, Honduras. From the 14th to the 19th of September, on the island of Roatán (Honduras), the formation Encounter for Claretians of Central America who reached their fifth year of profession was held. In addition to Fr. Rodolfo Morales, Provincial Superior, and Fr. Mauricio Borge, Provincial Prefect of Formation, the Claretians participating were: Fathers Carlos Chaves, Luís Díaz, Marko Rangel, Álvaro Flores, Fredy Cabrera, Luís Carías, César Espinosa and the student David Hernández.

The central theme of the encounter, which was led by Fr. Juan Carlos Martos, centered on revising and sharing the personal situation of each one of the participants and illuminating various central aspects of ordinary life from the perspective of The Forge, using an implied and active method. It dealt with such themes as theological experience, fraternal life in community, personal crises, and team work. Ending the session was an elaboration of a personal plan of life.

On Sunday the 18th they accompanied David Hernandez at his diaconal ordination. It was joyfully celebrated at the Chapel of Punta Gorda on the island, and was presided over by Bishop Angel Garachana, CMF who shared his house with them on the night before.

The final day was dedicated to operating proposals and various pertinent information. They also took time to share prayer and eucharist and to enjoy the good fraternal environment created during these days. (Photo)
