Cochabamba, Bolivia. The Claretian Province of Perú-Bolivia has just completed two formative workshops for Vocational Animators.
They were held in the House of Aspirants in Cochambamba from the 13-15th of January 2013, and in the Curia of Lima from the 21-23rd.
The animation of both workshops was under the direction of Fr. Juan Carlos Martos, Secretary General of the Vocation Ministry. Participating were some 50 vocational animators, the majority being laity who are commited to this ministry accompanied by a group of Claretian Missionaries Also present were the Sisters of the Cordimarian Filiation, the Claretian Missionary Sisters, and various Adoratrices Sisters..
Fathers Gerardo Rodríguez and Jospeh Kalakkal who form the Secretariate of Vocation Ministry of the Province continue to raise awareness of the work of the Vocational Ministry that they are coordinating.
On this occasion, in addition to re-reading together the recently approved Provincial plan of Vocation Ministry, they reviewed the progress of the on-line School of Vocational Animators of the province; and, as a central theme, the Vocational Circles were presented. These Circles are encounters of adolescents and youth, convened in each of our ministries, to receive special vocational information-formation according to an annual program of catechesis and complementary activities. It is one important platform, along with others, from which an organized and permanent service of vocational animation in shared mission is offered. Vocational circles have been functioning for many years and with efficiency in many dioceses and religious congregations of Latin America.
We trust in God and Our Blessed Mother that these efforts be blessed in this Year of Faith with the fruits that the Church and Congregation needs today in these Latin-American countries: That the implanting of a vocational culture be a space of birth and growth of many and good vocations.
