Quezon City, Philippines. On 17 June 2023, in a meaningful celebration of the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Cubao Bishop Honesto Ongtioco, DD, bestowed his blessings upon the newly constructed retirement home of Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province in Quezon City’s bustling Cubao district. The long-awaited dream of providing a dignified and nurturing environment for aging and ailing Claretians has finally become a reality.
Under the visionary leadership of the Provincial Superior, Fr. Elias L. Ayuban Jr., CMF, and with the dedicated collaboration of the members of the province, Major Organisms, mission partners, and lay collaborators, the construction of the retirement home came to fruition. The project aimed to offer comfort and care to Claretians who have dedicated the prime time of their life for the mission.
During the solemn blessing ceremony, Bishop Ongtioco emphasized that the retirement home would serve as a haven for individuals seeking peace and a prayerful atmosphere. Likewise, in his heartfelt homily on the 54th annual feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, he encouraged the parishioners to emulate the qualities of Mary, who always reflected the goodness of God in her life. Bishop Ongtioco expressed his hope that the feast day dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary would bring abundant blessings to their families, homes, and personal lives.
The Claretian retirement home stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment and compassion of the Claretian community towards its aging and infirm members. With state-of-the-art facilities, spacious accommodations, and a serene environment, the retirement home provides a supportive setting where the Claretians can spend their golden years in comfort and tranquility.
