Junior Priests’ Program – Sri Lanka

Jaffna, Sri Lanka. 11 Claretian junior priests who were ordained within the last five years came together for a day of reflection and sharing on 20th April 2012 at Sakkottai, Jaffna.

An input talk on the “Challenges faced in the pastoral field” was given by Fr. M. Ravichandran of the diocese of Jaffna. That was followed by some sharing by the priests present on the joys and sorrows of their present ministry.

Present also during the day’s programs was Fr. Joy Mariaratnam, the delegate superior of the dependent delegation of Sri Lanka.

Junior Priests Accompaniment Program (JPAP) is organized by the delegation council. During the year four programs are conducted: two animated by the prefect of formation of the Chennai province, Fr. A. Bhyju and the other two animated by local resource persons.

At the mment this program has 15 junior priests.
