Kattuwa, Sri Lanka. The Annual Assembly of the St. Joseph Vaz Independent Delegation, Sri Lanka – South Sudan was held from 20 to 25 July 2026 at St. Claret Seminary, Kattuwa. Members of the Delegation gathered for a week of prayer, reflection, evaluation, and fraternal communion.
A significant part of the Assembly was dedicated to the presentation of ministry reports and the evaluation of the various apostolic activities carried out across the Delegation. These sessions provided an opportunity to review the missionary journey, recognize achievements, and reflect on areas requiring renewed attention.
The gathering also strengthened unity among the members and deepened bonds of fraternity with brothers and sisters of the Claretian Family.
A special moment of joy was the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Religious Profession of Fr. Maria Arul, CMF, marking 50 years of consecrated life and missionary service.
The Assembly concluded with a renewed commitment to continue the missionary journey together, inspired by the Claretian charism and strengthened in faith, unity, and service.
