East Nigeria Province, Nigeria. From April 7–11, 2026, the Prefecture of Bible and Communications, in collaboration with the Prefecture of Youth and Vocations Ministry, organized a five-day Bible camp for children and youth from parishes, Claret Academies, and primary schools. The program aimed to deepen their knowledge of Sacred Scripture, foster spiritual growth, and strengthen their commitment to Christian values.
The camp focused on the study of the Book of Daniel (chapters 1–6), highlighting themes of faithfulness, courage, and integrity. Through group discussions, drama presentations, and interactive sessions, participants were encouraged to apply biblical lessons to their daily lives. The division into small groups facilitated active participation, teamwork, and leadership development.
A key moment was the online session led by Fr. Henry Omonisaye, CMF, General Prefect of Bible Ministry and Communications, who emphasized the importance of the Word of God in the Claretian mission. The Provincial Superior, Fr. Nathaniel Eke, CMF, presided at the opening Mass, while Fr. Wence Isidienu, CMF, and students from the Claretian Institute of Philosophy, Nekede, contributed through mentorship and engagement.
The camp also fostered a spirit of community through shared prayer and fellowship. The Province expressed gratitude to parents, collaborators, and all facilitators for their support.
The initiative proved fruitful, strengthening the faith of the children and encouraging them to live out Gospel values in their daily lives.
