New House blessed in Flores Island, Indonesia

Soko, Indonesia. The new claretian residence in Flores island in Indonesia populated mostly by Catholics, is blessed by Bishop Hubertus Leteng of the diocese of Rueteng 3rd January.

The blessing ceremony was attended by Fr. Mathew Vattamattam (General Prefect of formation) and Fr. Sabu George (major superior, Indonesia).

Bishop Hubertus expressed his happiness about the presence of Claretians in his diocese and wished that their presence would edify and build the community of faithful in the parish. Fr. Mathew greeted the gathering in the name of Father General and spoke about the Claretian congregation and its mission. Fr. Sabu felicitated the parish community in the name of the delegation.

The blessing ceremony was attended by the local political leaders and about one thousand faithful from the parish and near by places. The parish attends to the pastoral needs of about 7,000 catholics of the parish.

The claretian residence consists of Fr. Damianus Tasaeb (superior delegate) Fr. Federicus Jampur (parish priest) and the pastoral student Engki Gultom. Fr. Benedictus Nuwa who is recently appointed to take care of vocation promotion and to assist the pastoral needs of the mission joined the community on this day.
