Dindigul, India. The Claretian Province of Chennai held its Superiors’ Meet 2026 on 21–22 September 2026 at the Claretians-LIFE Centre, Dindigul. Twenty-two participants took part in the gathering, including six members of the Provincial Government, fifteen Superiors, and one Delegate Superior, for two days of dialogue, reflection, and discernment on the life and mission of the Province.
Fr. S. Jesu Doss, CMF, Provincial Superior, welcomed the participants and offered an orientation on the purpose and significance of the Superiors’ Meet, explaining its role as an advisory and consultative body to the Provincial Government.
He highlighted the meeting as an important space for dialogue, reflection, sharing of experiences, and offering suggestions concerning the life and mission of the Province.
During the gathering, the Superiors and the Delegate Superior presented reports on the life and mission of their respective communities through PowerPoint presentations. These reports provided an overview of community experiences, apostolic commitments, and areas requiring further attention.
Following the presentations, the Provincial Superior divided the participants into three groups for discussion and reflection on four questions he proposed. The groups shared their experiences, concerns, observations, and practical suggestions before presenting their reflections in the common session.
The discussions helped participants identify both strengths and challenges within community life and consider practical ways to foster greater collaboration, spiritual growth, effective leadership, apostolic commitment, accountability, and sustainable community development.
The Superiors’ Meet reaffirmed the importance of shared responsibility, attentive listening, and collaboration in strengthening community life and advancing the missionary commitment of the Claretian Province of Chennai.
