Renewal program in Sri Lanka

Tewatte, Sri Lanka. 39 Claretian missionaries who were ordained between 15 – 20 years from ASCLA WEST came together for a renewal program in Sri Lanka from 09 – 14, May 2011.
The theme chosen was “Rereading of our Claretian Missionary Life”. The resource persons for the meeting were Frs. Cyriac Njayarkulam, cmf, Aloy Peries, SJ, and Sr. Canice Ferrnando, HF.
The initiative of organizing this meeting was very well done by Sri Lankan Claretian missionaries.The atmosphere was very pleasant, cordial and enriching. The missionaries really felt happy with the whole program and the arrangements.

The group also had the privilege of listening to Rev. Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, cmf, General Prefect of formation and Rev. Fr. Gonzalo Fernandez Sanz, cmf, General Prefect of Spirituality through video conference on the themes Eucharistic spirituality and Forge program.

This gathering really inspired the members to grow in Claretian spirit and brotherhood. Through our sharing of Claretian missionary life we were enriched by each other’s presence, achievements, growth and ministry.

The resource persons invited the members to go deeper and to enjoy the Claretian missionary vocation which we have received.
