Resignation of Mons. Luis Gutierrez Accepted

Rome. The Holy Father has accepted the resignation to the government of the diocese of Segovia (Spain) which Mons. Luis Gutiérrez Martín, CMF had presented last year by reason of age. Mons. Gutiérrez professed in the Congregation of the Claretian Missionaries on October 23, 1949 and was ordained priest on September 8, 1957. Appointed titular Bishop of Tisedi on September 15, 1988, he served the Church of Madrid as Auxiliary Bishop. From there he went on to be residential Bishop of the diocese of Segovia on May 12, 1995. When he became 75 years old he tendered his resignation in November 2006, which was granted on November 3, 2007.
