Kazhakootam, Kerala, INDIA. The sacred relics of St. John Paul II and St. Carlo Acutis were solemnly enshrined at Liat Catholic Centre, Kazhakootam, Kerala – St. Thomas Province, on the evening of August 15, 2026. The installation was led by Fr. Martin Vitayathil, CMF, Prefect of Youth, Bible and Communication of the Province.

The solemn celebration brought together a large number of young people working in IT firms across Trivandrum, along with young families and campus youth. They gathered in prayer to venerate the relics and to seek the intercession of the two saints.

The enshrinement was followed by the celebration of the Holy Qurbana, providing those present with an opportunity to deepen their faith through prayer and the Eucharistic celebration. A fellowship meal afterward further strengthened the spirit of communion among the participants.

The presence of the relics at Liat Catholic Centre offers young people and families an opportunity to draw inspiration from the lives and witness of St. Carlo Acutis and St. John Paul II. Both saints continue to speak powerfully to younger generations through their love for Christ, fidelity to the Church, and commitment to living the Gospel in the circumstances of their time.

The relics will remain at the centre in the coming days, welcoming more young people and families to pray, seek their intercession, and renew their commitment to following Christ with faith and hope.
