Bouaflé, Côte d’Ivoire. Members of the Saint John Paul II Independent Delegation have gathered at Casa Claret in Bouaflé, Côte d’Ivoire, from October 16 to 20, 2026, for their annual spiritual retreat, combined with a Mini-Assembly. The retreat is being facilitated by Fr. Callistus Joseph, CMF, Provincial Superior of the Province of Germany.
The gathering began on the evening of October 16 with introductory remarks, followed by the prayer of Compline, marking the beginning of a special period of prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
This annual retreat offers members of the Delegation a valuable opportunity to step back from their daily apostolic commitments, deepen their relationship with God, and strengthen their fraternal communion in the light of the Word of God.
The presence of Fr. Callistus Joseph, CMF, as retreat preacher accompanies this spiritual journey, reflecting the Claretian commitment to ongoing formation, personal renewal, and fidelity to the missionary vocation.
Alongside the retreat, the Mini-Assembly provides an opportunity for members of the Delegation to come together in a spirit of fraternity, mutual listening, communal discernment, and shared responsibility for the mission entrusted to them.
Scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, this gathering represents a meaningful opportunity to renew missionary zeal, strengthen fraternal bonds, and reaffirm the Delegation’s commitment to proclaiming the Gospel in fidelity to the charism of St. Anthony Mary Claret.
