Solemnity of Saint Anthony Mary Claret and Perpetual Vows in Yaoundé, Cameroon

Oct 26, 2021 | ACLA, Cameroun, Professions, St. Anthony Mary Claret

Yaoundé, Cameroon. On Monday, October 25, 2021, Claretian missionaries in Cameroon celebrated the Solemnity of St. Anthony Mary Claret of our Father Founder. This feast was marked by two great moments, namely; the first official visit of H.E. Bishop Jean Mbarga to Casa Claret whose arrival was made from 9:10 am, followed by a guided tour of the house and a time of communion with the Claretian Missionaries in Cameroon. The second important moment was the pronouncement of the perpetual vows of two of our confreres: David Jules Onana, cmf and Ernest Aimé Manga Elono, cmf, at the hands of Reverend Father Jude Thaddeus Langeh, cmf Major Superior of the Delegation, in the parish of Saint Charles Lwanga in Nkolbisson. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Yaoundé, Mgr Jean Mbarga. During his homily, he encouraged us to continue to work with the poor in the peripheries and to always remember that the vows are not a social promotion, but a religious consecration.

After the mass, the celebration ended with refreshments and celebration.
