Yaounde, Cameroon. The formators of Claretian Missionaries of Cameroun and the Delegation Council gathered on the 09th of October 2023, in the Curia of the Delegation, Casa Claret, to pray, to foster synodality in formation, and reflect on the objectives of formation in the Delegation for this year. The meeting brought together nine formators from all the four formation houses of the Delegation: the Fr Xifré Pre-Postulancy; the Martyrs of Barbastro Philosophate (postulancy); the Anton Probst Novitiate and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Theologate.
This traditional annual meeting following a synodal approach is a way for the Major Superior, Fr Jude Thaddeus Langeh, CMF, and his council to ensure harmony between formators and enhance fruitful collaboration with the council. Such collaboration will enable the formation centers to journey together, looking towards the same horizon with the Delegation in order to realize the dream of the Congregation.
The meeting began with an hour of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Curia’s chapel. Afterwards, the participants moved to the conference hall where they had a moment to evaluate the past year in their various communities and reflect on how to make this year better. It was also an opportunity for the participants to listen to one another and to express their joys and difficulties to the council members.
