“They held all in common”

Sep 28, 2011 | Bangalore, Congregation

Bangalore, India. Pursuant to this motto, inspired by Acts 2:44, the Economes of the Major Organisms of the Congregation gathered with Fr. Domingo Grillía, CMF, General Econome, in the interprovincial house of Claret at Nivas (Bangalore – India).

During the first week, some took the opportunity to visit and see some of the missions of our brothers in India. On the 19th of September a week of study and sharing was initiated to deepen the understanding of the role and mission of the economes in the missionary life of the Congregation. The third week, from the 25th to the 30th of September, will focus on some of the most urgent issues of the congregational life and their relationship with the administration.

Among the previous activities, on the 19th the Carmelite, Clifford D’ Souza, made a brief but in depth presentation of the Latin and Eastern Canonical Rights, with respect to the use and administration of ecclesiastical goods, followed by a discussion with the presenter.

One method of study utilized was the formation of discussion groups to more deeply appreciate the Congregation’s general principles for the administration of goods, (Dir. 518-521).

A noteworthy detail of fraternal communion was the celebration on the 20th of September of Fr. Domingo Grillía’s birthday. (Fotos)
