Workshop on Youth Vocational Ministry in Ecuador

Quito, Ecuador. From April 23 to 29 a National Workshop Seminar on Youth Vocational Ministry took place in the House of the Ecuadorian Bishops’ Conference.

The speaker of this Encounter was Fr. Juan Carlos Martos, cmf, Secretary of Vocational Ministry, invited by Fr. Carlos Alberto Bernal, cmf, coordinator of Vocational Ministry of Ecuador and dependent of the Bishops’ Conference and of the Religious’ Conference. Mons. Rafale Cog, person-in-charge of the Bishops’ Commission for Seminaries and Vocations, participated throughout the entire Encounter.

For the first time, a representative group of diocesan priests and seminarians gathered together with a considerable group of religious men and women to intensively tried to walk together towards the creation of Teams of Vocational Animators in shared mission, starting from dialogued and ratified convergent criteria.

In the Encounter there were opportunities for intensive prayer for vocations and to share experiences that are taking place in the country. One of the Eucharists was presided over by Mons. Raúl Vela, Archbishop of Quito.
