Rome, Italy. The General Mission Procure Council comes together twice a year to study the projects presented to the General Mission Procure by the Major Organisms. This year, on October 28, 2022, the General Mission Procure Council took place at the General Curia in Rome. Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, CMF (Superior General), Rev.Fr. Pedro Belderrain, CMF (Prefect of Apostolate), Fr. Manuel Tamargo, CMF (General Econome), and other members of the Council, Fr. Vincent Anesthasiar, CMF, Br. Giovanni Ramirez, CMF, were present along with Fr. Lord Winner, CMF, the General Mission Procure.
The Council made an intensive study of the 89 projects presented for this cycle, from the point of view of previously implemented projects by the Organism, submission of required documents, and the overall financial situation of the Major Organism. After careful study 53 projects were accepted for fundraising by the Claretian Sources. They also appreciated the efforts taken by the General Mission Procure to work with Funding Agencies for the support of the Claretian Missions.
The Training Calendar of PRISMA for the year 2023 was also approved by the Council. The members stressed the need for more Claretians to be trained in this crucial area which will help in the growth of the missions.
Furthermore, on November 4, 2022, during the meeting of the Administrative Board of Proclade Internazionale Onlus, the Clareitan NGO for development, Fr. Lord Winner, CMF, who is also the General Secretary of the Organization, during his activity report, outlined the development projects funded by Proclade Internationale from January to October of 2022 and stated that within this period 36 projects were funded for the Claretian Mission to the tune of 555,055 Euro. He also mentioned the 23 projects which were completed in the year 2022, the 56 projects funded by Proclade Network members to which technical assistance was provided, and the 30 projects which are being worked on with various funding agencies.
